Auction FAQs

BIDDING & BUYING

Yes. Viewings take place every Thursday at our warehouse in Golborne where viewings are from 9am until 12 midday and are by appointment only, please email trade@clearcycle.co.uk to book with us. There will be online auctions held on behalf of our vendors and stock may be held at an alternative location, this will be clearly stated on the auction listing.
All of our auctions are listed at this website, see the Auctions options in the top menu on every page. In the auction catalogues you will find the start date and time, the end date and time, and all lots currently listed. If you see no lots, we are still loading the Auction with products. On the very rare occasion no auctions are showing, there must be a technical problem so please try again at a later time.

To bid in any of our online auctions, you must have registered at the website for an account. Once registered, there are two ways to bid - enter your maximum bid on the lot and click the 'Place bid' button to submit it, or click on 'Place an automatic bid' to enter your maximum bid and let the auction software bid on your behalf until the lots ends and you win, or your maximum bid is exceeded.

Most of ClearCycle's Auctions attract no Buyer's Premium. In the case of remote sales, stock not held at one of our warehouse location's, the Buyer's Premium is clearly stated in the auction details. Buyer’s Premium is added to the cost of every lot and is a percentage of the hammer price. The Buyer’s premium is subject to VAT at the standard 20%, the hammer price of a lot also attracts VAT unless otherwise stated.

COLLECTION

The majority of stock we sell is located at our warehouse in Golborne however, we also warehouse stock at Chorley and Warrington that will occasionally be listed for sale and will always post a note in the listing description where Golborne is not the collection point.

Yes! We welcome parcel service collections, couriers, and hauliers to collect on your behalf. It's very important to communicate the arrangements to us at least 24hrs before arrival and they must have either the Auction and Lots No's or the buyers email address when attending to collect. We recommend using a service who will provide labels upfront as this helps us to ensure the correct order is collected.

No, but we can recommend several options. ParcelForce services can be booked online and are a reliable choice for small to medium sized boxes, Evri is a very cheap option for boxes up to 15kgs and within their maximum size parameters, for larger boxes or pallets use the ParcelMonkey website to access services from UPS, Fedex, DHL and more. For large multi-pallet deliveries we highly recommend Andrew Porter for an excellent delivery experience.

Any order that has not been collected within 48hrs, or courier/haulier labels provided within this time frame, will be assumed to be unwanted and relisted at the next auction. There will be no option to collect at a later date if we have received no prior contact.
